Customer Vertical Marketing Manager Energy (Oil & Gas, Utilities)

We are seeking a Vertical Segment Marketing Manager for Energy (Oil & Gas, Utilities), who will be a key player in our dynamic marketing team, leading the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives for the specific vertical market. You will be responsible for understanding the unique trends and characteristics of the assigned industry, identifying key opportunities and challenges, and crafting targeted content and marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

Amongst your responsibilities, you will be expected to develop the planning, strategy, messaging, objectives, positioning, content, and sales support for your market segment. Activities include but are not limited to:


1.     Thought Leadership:

  • Function as the resident global expert on the assigned vertical market segment.
  • Lead the content, events, and activities that will position Ceragon as a thought leader in the industry.

2.     Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth research to understand the specific dynamics, trends, and challenges within the assigned vertical market.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation.

3.     Strategic Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives and tailored to the nuances of the vertical market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of vertical-specific messaging into the overall marketing plan.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing group to determine product line integration, where appropriate into use cases, collateral, presentations, etc.

4.     Campaign Development and Execution:

  • Work closely with digital marketing group to create and execute targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads, increase brand awareness, and drive customer engagement within the vertical.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling content and collateral tailored to the unique needs of the target audience.

5.     Content Creation & Demand Generation:

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual marketing content plan for assigned segment.
  • Implement effective demand generation programs to attract and convert leads within the vertical market.
  • Utilize a mix of online and offline channels to maximize reach and impact.
  • Active member of relevant segment associations across globe, taking active role in business working groups.
  • Write and oversee completion of all content creation, including blogs, presentations, eBooks, brochures, and all other relevant material.
  • Ensure website is up to date with current messaging. Identify and ensure the use of key words and phrases throughout website and all supporting content.
  • Manage the development and analysis of market surveys to discover concerns, opportunities, and to define improvement needs.
  • Support segment trade shows, provide input to Marcom on priorities and key messages for each show.

6.     Sales Enablement:

  • Work closely with the sales team to provide them with the necessary tools, resources, and training to effectively engage and convert leads within the vertical.
  • Develop vertical-specific sales collateral and presentations.

7.     Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  • Help define key performance indicators (KPIs) for vertical marketing initiatives.
  • Regularly analyze and report on the performance of campaigns, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in marketing, with a focus on vertical markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oil and Gas sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with good organization and planning skills.
  • Must have good people skills and be able to develop good working relationships with sales staff, full marketing team, customers, partners, etc.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience in the telecom industry a plus.
