Shipping Manager 1190 (Tel-Aviv)

Job Description

As a Shipping Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Daily monitoring of global shipping processes, by ensuring high service level and online data availability to all internal customers.
  • Organizing and arrange up to 1500 ocean, road and air freight shipments per month.
  • management a team of 6 employees.
  • Monitor and improve shipments routines, quality, on-time delivery.
  • Enfopack -Implement in global subsidiaries (warehouses and freight forwarders), define processes, entities maintenance (routes, freight forwarders, suppliers), troubleshooting.
  • To manage all agents, customers and freight forwarders in line with expectation.
  • Manage low shipping costs, gather and negotiate quotations from Vendors in an effective and efficient manner, responsible for annual bid, projects management, cost reports and analysis, and exceptional shipments.
  • Continuously strive for excellence in global shipping S/A: On time delivery, KPIs, data analysis, process improvements, etc

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be a Logistics Shipping Manager reporting directly Global Logistics & WH Manager. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • 5+ years team managing experience, professional in Ocean, Road & Air Freight Shipping.
  • Ideally strong experience in Drop shipments, coming from similar intensive shipping department /freight forwarding company.
  • Ability to function in a stressful work environment, while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Accuracy, attention to details.
  • Experience handling a substantial amount of shipments constantly.
  • History of operation within the Far East / EU /America markets.
  • Experience with HAWB, MAWB, EUR1, FTA, HS Codes, and Shipping Bills of Lading.
  • Fluent English both written and spoken
  • ERP Oracle / TMS Enfopack – an advantage, Strong Excel and data analysis skills are a must.
